Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Meilysa Trias Puspita Sari, a promising Indonesian women’s doubles badminton pair, are determined to showcase their best performance at the Arctic Open 2025. The Super 500 tournament, taking place at Energia Areena in Vantaa, Finland from October 7 to 12, serves as a crucial opportunity for Ana/Trias to prove their quality despite being a relatively new partnership. Ana expressed their ambition to show continuous improvement and maintain positive trends while addressing areas that need enhancement.
Meilysa emphasized the importance of focus and readiness, highlighting that they should not be swayed by the reputation of their opponents. Regardless of the competition, both players aim to compete at a high level and deliver their best performance. During their initial training session at Energia Areena’s main court, Ana/Trias focused on adapting to the court conditions and the different characteristics of shuttlecocks compared to previous tournaments.
Their coach, Karel Mainaky, sees the Finland tournament as a pivotal moment for the young pair to challenge the dominance of the world’s top women’s doubles teams. He hopes that Ana/Trias will demonstrate tangible progress based on their training at the national training center. Indonesia also boasts two other women’s doubles pairs, Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum and Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi/Lanny Tria Mayasari, competing in the Arctic Open 2025. This competition presents an opportunity for these teams to break into the upper echelon of women’s doubles badminton.
